Its initiator and author of the idea was the local parish priest August\u00edn Bogisich. Originally it was intended to build only the Chapel of the Holy Cross on the top of the unforested hill called Zmina. The layout of chapels is symmetric in three rows, 2 rows of chapels on the right represent Via Crucis. The chapels are interconnected by a rising path. Lindens and maples are planted in between. On the eastern hillside, deciduous trees get mixed, and a dense pine forest on the west.
