The undemanding, simple trail does not teach us about physical and geographic facts, the number of inhabitants or the economy of the surrounding area, but guides us through the landscape with simple, but above all informative quotes from human life. It is an alternative route to the ruins of Breznica Castle, which is less steep than the marked green route. It is ideal to make a circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the village of Tekovsk\u00e1 Breznica, follow the green hiking trail. It leads from the railway station through the village and then to the right of the cemetery. At the entrance from the meadow into the forest, you will find an atypical sign pointing to the right towards the transmitter, the interface between the forest and the meadow. At this point, the Benedictine monastery in Hronsk\u00fd Be\u0148adik will appear in its full glory, blackberries and rose hips will be on offer in autumn, and a shelter will be available for refreshments and resting when we reach the transmitter level. It is at this shelter that the actual \u2018instructional\u2019 part begins, and there is nowhere to get off the trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can head through the forest to the left, where you will be guided by signs with various proverbs and folk wisdom. This will take you to the lookout point at the ruins of Breznice Castle, where a cross is installed on one of the pine trees, which can be seen at night thanks to the lighting from the Hron River. From here you can enjoy a magical view of Nov\u00e1 Ba\u0148a, \u010cerven\u00e1 and Havrana Rock, the massive Vt\u00e1\u010dnik Mountain and the neighbouring Orovnica. Hikers heading further to Priesil and \u017duhr\u00e1\u010dka will connect here to the green hiking trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the way down, descend a short distance on the familiar part of the path and then turn left off the original route at a nearby fork. After a short distance you will reach another rock lookout with a view of the Priesil valley topped by Priesil Hill and the semi-exposed Benadic monastery. Continue down the ridge and before you know it you will find yourself at the shelter above the transmitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
