The trail name is inspired by Saint Barbara, the patron saint of miners.

The trail mainly relies on the existing infrastructure. Its aim is to boost the increasingly popular "green" tourism. The entire journey takes 9 days, and apart from learning about nature and the historic landmarks, you may also get to know more about yourself. The tower, which served as prison cell of St. Barbara, the patroness of miners, is a symbol of the whole project.

The trail consists of 9 stages divided into 29 stops.
