The left bank of the Hron river, in particular the altitude of the Štiavnické vrchy mountain, offers diverse opportunities for mountain biking. But don't be fooled, it takes some effort to toil up the hill. In the forests of this volcanic mountain range you will find steep slopes and descents, with demanding, technical sections - but you will be rewarded with panoramic views. In Rudno nad Hronom, Voznica (Richňavská valley), Hodruša-Hámre, Žarnovica, Sklené Teplice, or in the village of Repište, you can join cycling routes to the city of Banská Štiavnica and its surroundings.
