Cycling paths are of huge importance in our region. Each mountain around us has many signposted paths which will show you unique views, the industrial heritage of the region, or lead you right to the castle courtyard. Cycle directly to the Vtáčnik mountain ridge, in the footsteps of the former forest railway, or cycle to the sea – the stone sea in the village of Malá Lehota.
The Kľak valley, and the unexplored area of the town of Žarnovica, should not escape any cyclist’s attention. Its “appearance” as an industrialized area hides picturesque landscapes, vast forests and meadows offering views far and wide, but also natural rarities not found anywhere else.
