Waterfall "Stará Huta"

The national natural monument, the "Starohutský vodopád" waterfall, is the second stop of the Vojšín Educational Trail. The waterfall is located 300 m north of the Stará Huta (part of Nová Baňa) on the "Sklený potok" stream, flowing into the "Starohutský potok" stream. With a height 5 metres, it belongs to the largest waterfalls in Slovak neovulcanites. The waterfall is an ideal place for a short walk, as it takes only 10 minutes up a gentle incline from the parking lot in Stará Huta. The site is equipped with benches, and places ideal for a picnic in the forest. If you wish for a longer walk, continue along the rock formation on steeper terrain to Jašek Rock - the viewpoint is really worth it - or follow the Vojšín Educational Trail to its end.
