The cycling route will guide you through natural sceneries around Nová Baňa. It is ideal for experienced cyclists who like a challenge.
The red cycling route is the longest of the 3 cycling circuits available in Konigsberg ("Novobansko"). You will ascend almost 1300 vertical metres on the 40 km long stretch, so it is a circuit of medium to hard difficulty in terms of fitness and technique on the descents.
It takes take you through peaceful outskirts of Nová Baňa, offering unique views. It is bidirectional, but we recommend you start from the town center near the "Záhrb" part and continue to "Bukovina". You will reach the ski resort and the Drozdovo Bike Park. This is your chance for refreshments. Then cross the mountain trough "Kuchyňa" and continue to the Malá Lehota village. The route becomes steeper, and leads to the rural estate "majer Kostivrch" on your way back to the town of Nová Baňa.
You are likely to see forest logging on this cycling path, or the work activities of local forestry company "Mestské lesy Nová Baňa s.r.o.". Ride and cross with caution.
