The cycling route will guide more experienced cyclists through unique natural sceneries in the beautiful landscape of the scattered Stahl houses of Nová Baňa. The 27.6 km-long blue cycling path rises over 900 metres.
The route is bidirectional, and starts on Saint Elisabeth Square in Nová Baňa. We recommend to proceed from the town of Nová Baňa to the left along "Laznícka cesta" road to the Sedlova skala rock, and the "Kuchyňa" mountain trough. Two challenging, steep sections await you on the route, uphill to "Bujakov vrch" and to Kostivrch.
In the second half of the route, you will ride over the unique mining water reservoir "Novobanský Teich", the only such reservoir on this bank of the Hron river. After you climb to the "major Kostivrch" estate, you will descend back to the town of Nová Baňa.
You are likely to see forest logging on this cycling path, or the work activities of local forestry company "Mestské lesy Nová Baňa s.r.o.". Ride and cross with caution.
