If you are fans of castles and history, and experienced cyclists to boot, combine cycling with a visit of castle ruins. This cycling path is the extension of the route connecting the villages of Píla and Ostrý Grúň.

Depart from the village Ostrý Grúň and head towards Hrabičov. Turn to the Pokutska valley at the forest railway museum (called "Pilka"), before the village of Hrabičov. It is an asphalted road. Be cautious when crossing, timber is logged here. After about 2 km you will reach the Ranch Blanc. It offers refreshments, and charging stations for e-bikes. The cycling path turns sharply to the right from the Ranch Blanc, enters the forest, and slightly begins to rise. After the initial kilometres along the asphalt road, you will join a forest path, which continuously rises up to crossroads called "Smelákovci".

Here you can find a chapel and resting area for cyclists. Now the route descends through the "Nebojsa" valley, with its gravel roads, to the "Hronské lúky" meadows above Bukovina (a borough of the Bzenica village). Plains parallel to the Hron River will lead you to Revištské Podzámčie (a borough of the town of Žarnovica). The cycling path here joins an asphalt road rising up to the parking lot where you turn to the Revište Castle. Together with the hiking trail it winds up to the castle courtyard.

You are likely to see forest logging on this cycling path, or activities of the state-owned forestry company "Lesy SR, š. p.". Ride and cross with caution.
