Trail: Zvonička - Červená skala - Havrania skala - Háj - Kohútovo
● total length 6,23 km
● walking time 2,5 hours
The trail is bidirectional, circular, and open all year round. The round trip starts and ends in the village of Kohútov. It takes approximately 2 hours. It is a suitable option for family trips with children and the elderly. Caution should be exercised on the second and the third stop. Another option is to join the yellow trail from the railway station or from the bus stop on the local square "Námestie sv. Alžbety" (Saint Elisabeth).

The first stop is the area of Zvonička, which was added to the chapel Kohútovo so that the sound of the bells could better spread through the town of Nová Baňa. Zvonička is the popular recreation area, where you will find via ferrata for kids, the Zvonička cafeteria open all year round, a fireplace and climbing frames, which opened in 2022. Various cultural events are held in the area.
Red Rock and Raven Rock guarantee some of the most beautiful views of the Hron River valley. The viewpoint visibility extends far beyond the Slovak Gate. Exercise caution when climbing these steep cliffs.
Near the rocks in the direction of Háj, turn off the trail a short distance to the Klingsbitner shaft, also marked with an info sign. It is one of the proofs of ancient mining activity in the area of Nová Bana.
At the edge of the Háj massif, the Háj lookout tower offers tourists a view of the Novobanská basin, from the western part of the ridge of Pohronský Inovec with the distinctive hills Sedlová skala and Viničný vrch. The lookout tower stands on the site of a former quarry, where the pink Konigsberg rhyolite was extracted in the past. This stone was used to produce millstones, and for the foundations of the lookout tower. In very high visibility, it is even possible to see the cathedral of Esztergom in Hungary.
From the lookout tower we continue in the direction of the nature trail, where we join the Zbojnícke studničky Nature Trail on the meadow Predný Šarvíz. On the way we can turn to the Rovinka well or continue directly to the Kohútovo locality. Here by the chapel grows a protected mammoth redwood. The pilgrimage site is associated with the legend of the sheep that saved the town of Nová Baňa from a severe drought.
