Veľký Inovec (901 m.a.s.l.) is the highest hill of the “Pohronský Inovec” mountain. Several trails lead to its peak from various places (municipalities of Veľká Lehota, Stará Huta, Nová Baňa, or Tekovské Nemce). A popular and moderate trail suitable for cyclists and cross-country skiers starts and ends near Guesthouse “Penzión Drozdovo”. The trail winds between forests and meadows in a moderate gradient. Refreshments are served just below the summit in the Mountain cottage “Chata Inovec”. The weathered andesite rock is crowned by a hand-painted national emblem, and a historic marker “The truth has prevailed”. Adventure hunters can opt for the “Rudná magistrála” trail (over rocky ridges) from the town of Nová Baňa.
